Estate Law NM offers estate-planning services remotely to clients throughout New Mexico — from Albuquerque and Santa Fe to the smaller communities in between.
Working remotely means distance is not the thing that decides whether the firm can help you. For most of the work — the conversations, the questions, the drafts and revisions — it also means not travelling across the state, taking a day off, or arranging care for someone at home in order to sit in an office.
Signing is the exception, and it is worth knowing up front. New Mexico requires a will to be signed on paper in front of two witnesses, so that step happens in person. The firm is based in Albuquerque and arranges it around your circumstances; How It Works sets out what to expect.
The firm works virtually rather than from a public office. Correspondence can be sent to the firm’s mailing address, listed at the foot of every page, and day-to-day contact is by email.
Amanda is admitted to practice in New Mexico, and the firm’s estate-planning work is New Mexico work. That matters more than it may sound: estate planning turns on the rules of a particular state, and New Mexico’s community-property system makes it different from most.
