What the hosting provider records
Delivering a web page requires a server somewhere to receive your request. The company that hosts this website records standard technical information as part of operating that service — typically the requesting network address, the browser and operating system reported, the page requested, and the date and time.

Two companies necessarily handle something in the ordinary course of the website working at all:
- The hosting provider, which receives your request in order to send the page back and keeps the technical records described above.
- The email provider, which carries messages sent to the firm’s address.
Both act as service providers. Neither is given information for its own purposes, and neither is paid in data.
Beyond that, the firm would disclose information only where the law requires it — a valid subpoena or court order, for example — or where you have asked it to.
If the firm agrees to represent you, what you tell it as a client is governed by the rules of professional conduct and by your engagement agreement. That is a different and stronger protection than this notice, and this notice does not limit it.
How the firm protects information
The most substantial protection here is structural rather than technical. The website collects nothing, so there is no stored record of visitors to be lost, breached, or demanded from the firm.
The website is served over an encrypted connection, so the pages you request are not readily read or altered on their way to you.
Email deserves a plainer answer. Ordinary email is not encrypted from end to end, and the firm cannot make it so from its side. The firm controls its own accounts, and access to them is limited and protected by the email provider’s security. It does not control the route a message takes to arrive, or the security of the account you send it from. That is the reason the firm asks you to keep an initial message brief and general.
No system is perfectly secure, and the firm does not claim otherwise.
